Brief: ‘Explore innovative ways in which to contain/ hold a selection of magazines and publications'

'Magazine Rack' exhibits a new way of holding magazines, whilst similtaniously displaying and elevating them. Wall Mounted Magazine Rack is a playful exploration of function. Through the utilisation of the foam's characteristics, the magazines are clasped between the apexing form.

Original project completed for Leeds College of Art // 2013
[Revise] project completed as a self-motivated project // 2016

'Magazine Rack' is hand made from White Ash, hardwood dowels and a closed cell foam.

Elevation and the unfamiliar orientation of the items creates a new way of interacting and displaying the users favourite publications.

Wraping the foam around wood dowels instead of MDF sheets solved the construction problems and gave the project an interesting aesthetic
